After 10 years in the classroom, I left the traditional classroom to explore other ways in which to use my gifts as an educator. My husband and adopted our son at birth in 2014, and have become advocates for ADHD, Autism and childhood Anxiety as we work through these with our son. I look forward to working with you and your children.
My passion is helping ALL kids feel successful within their learning. After many years of working with various students with reading struggles, I found my missing link, multi-sensory reading strategies, through Take Flight Dyslexia curriculum. Through my Dyslexia training I knew there had to be a different way to teach children how to read, therefore, I taught my son to read through a focus on the Science of Reading and a curriculum that was designed with bridging the gap and doing all that is possible to prevent reading struggles. As a Dyslexia Therapist, my goal is to help students that have any reading struggle to find success and enjoy reading.

Each year, at the beginning of a new school year my kids and I wait, in
anticipation, to see who their teachers will be. Well we were thrilled to find that we had Jessica Cozens as my son's 3rd grade teacher. Jessica is a loyal and dedicated teacher who not only taught my son with passion, she always loved on him too. My son loved his 3rd grade year, he loved being at school and loved learning. Thank you Jessica, it was a blessing to have you as a teacher, and we should have more teachers like you in this world. -Tisha W. Argyle, TX |
